Bomber Brewing – Pilsner: Is a craft beer brewed in Vancouver, Canada (it’s a Canadian thing) brewed at a strength of 4.8% and was poured from a can into a beer glass at home. I had bought a mixer 12 pack of these for Canada Day and reserved one of each for review at a later time.
Aroma and Appearance: It pours the colour of honey with 1 finger of foam and a nice bubbly look to it. The aroma is classic sweet pilsner malt with some grass, hay, grains and some spicy hops.
Flavour: I get a smooth, creamy mouth feel from this up front with sweet malt, some grass and hay in the middle finishing with a slightly herbal and spicy bitter crisp finish.
Overall Impression: It hits all the right notes for a Bohemian Pilsner, just the right bitterness.
Rating: I give it a very good rating of 7/10, I thought they executed the style quite nicely here.
Food Pairing: I paired with a home made strawberry goat cheese and chicken salad, it was a nice pairing where the hops spice worked well with the goat cheese and strawberries.
This was my final of three reviews of Bomber Brewing’s 12 pack, I am surprised that I liked their pilsner the best out of the three.
