Tree Brewing – Mellow Moon Pineapple Hefeweizen: Is a pineapple wheat beer brewed in Kelowna, BC at a strength of 5% abv and was enjoyed at home from a bottle poured in to a beer glass.
Aroma and Appearance: It pours a cloudy yellow with 2 fingers of foam and just a few hard to see bubbles. The aroma is pineapple tart, banana and overall tropical fruit.
Flavour: The flavour is fruity pineapple tart, wheat malt, some lemon and acidic notes with a pineapple finish and wheat texture.
Overall Impression: It’s a decent beer, but the pineapple doesn’t really do much for me.
Rating: I give it an above average rating 6/10, overall its drinkable and a good patio beer.
Food Pairing: I would go with grass fed beef teriyaki sliders with slices of grilled pineapple on them.
