Sierra Nevada/3 Floyds Brewing – Beer Camp Across America Chico King Pale Ale: A collaboration with 3 Floyds Brewing this is a hopped up Pale Ale brewed at a strength of 6.5% abv and 45 IBUs and the second collaboration beer I have had from this brewery.
Aroma and Appearance: This pours a slightly cloudy copper with some sporadic bubbles that lead up to two fingers of foam at the top. The aroma is bread with a touch of mango and tangerine citrus.
Flavour: Lots of sweet grainy bread up front with herbal spicy hops and citrus in the middle and finally an earthy woodsy bitterness that has a touch of mango at very end.
Overall Impression: Pretty good stuff, drinkable with a touch of complexity.
Rating: Very good at 7/10, not a run out and repeat but still respectable.
Food Pairing: BBQ chicken skewers cooked over a fire or camping BBQ.
