BC Craft Beer Review – Dageraad Blonde

Dageraad BlondeDageraad – Blonde : Is genuine Belgian Blonde Ale that is brewed in Burnaby, BC at a strength of 7.5% and was enjoyed at home from a re-fermented bottle that was poured into a traditional Belgium Beer glass.

Aroma and Appearance: It pours a cloudy gold (or blonde) with a thin layer of foam with some bubbly carbonation in the glass. The aroma is deep clove with some grassy pilsner malt, some spice and a bit of lemon citrus.

Flavour: The flavour is spicy clove and grassy malt with a lighter mouth feel from the carbonation that is also smooth, creamy, a bit yeasty yet balanced. It finishes spicy and bitter with some salivating coriander and clove on the aftertaste.

Overall Impression: Go buy 6 or more of these now, some for drinking and some for cellaring, but be sure to wait until I do so first!

Rating: I give it an awesome rating of 9/10, this is a fresh Belgium Blonde ale that traveled very little and is nicely bottle conditioned.

Food Pairing: Brie, triple cream heavenly brie, damn I wish I had some brie with this.

Dageraad, well done look forward to more stuff from this brewery! Have you had it yet?
