Howe Sound – Lager: This is a Dortmunder style lager that is brewed in Squamish, BC at a strength of 5.5% and was poured from a can into a tall glass on my patio.
Aroma and Appearance: Pours a hazy golden copper colour, with two fingers of foam and I saw some slow rising bubbles make their way up the glass. The aroma was mostly grassy malt with hints of lemon.
Flavour: I get mostly grassy malt, a touch of caramel and a dry finish with an overall medium body and mouth feel.
Overall Impression: It’s ok, not really a style I think I enjoy very much to be honest.
Rating: I give it a 5/10 (average) compared to other beer, I wouldn’t buy this again. A bit thin on flavour, however this brewery makes a lot of other great beer so don’t judge them by this review.
Food Pairing: Would pair well with pub food.

Am I silly to not really like this one?
As lagers go this is probably my favourite one. I am not big on lagers though.
I am not a huge fan of them either, but I am going to try a bunch this year to seek out the best ones. This just didn’t do anything for me really, I haven’t had it since they first released it, the have too many other great beers to choose from.
